Sell your Truck Parts for Free  at Trucklocator.co.uk

There are an increasing number of switched-on companies that are looking to the Internet to move their stock plus there are always plenty of bodies and tail lifts that have been removed cluttering up truck operators’ yards. Trucklocator.co.uk have just launched a truck parts advertising service alongside their used truck listing.  Will this help?

Trucklocator.co.uk claims to have the answer to spare parts hanging around.  The popular classified truck sales website has just launched a ‘Truck Parts’ for sale section which will help operators find new, used and reconditioned parts quickly and simply.

As an introductory offer, companies with parts to sell can upload the details of any truck parts and spares– including up to three photos totally free.  Sales Manager, Zena Daniels explains, “We want to give operators access to a range of truck parts and accessories at the touch of a button.  We have around 60,000 visits a month from operators looking to buy a used truck – these are the same people who have to buy the parts and accessories to keep the trucks moving.”

The service seems straightforward enough - whilst users are browsing used Scanias for sale, for example, they will be presented with a list of the most popular Scania parts and accessories for sale. The reverse is also the case – when a user is looking at DAF Parts and accessories, they will be shown details of the DAF trucks for sale which are listed on the used trucks section of trucklocator.

“We hope to become a one-stop shop for all things truck-related on the Internet,” says Daniels.  “The Trucklocator format differs from Ebay, where usually the transaction is carried out on the site itself, trucklocator is merely an advertising medium which helps to put buyers in touch with sellers.”

Like all good things, it is unlikely that free parts advertising will continue on Trucklocator indefinitely, however it gives dealers and other parts and accessory suppliers the opportunity to try something out for free.  If it results in some parts sales, then so much the better.
